3 Ways to Include Your Photography Before, During and After Your Wedding Day

Please enjoy the following entry written by our good friend and extremely talented photographer Brianna Widen of Brianna M. Widen Photography!

Having the pleasure to be a part of a couples amazing wedding day is an honor. It means so much to me as a photographer, to know that these couples trust in me to create the timeless heirlooms that remind them of how special their wedding day really was.

Now, I love wedding photography! It’s a stunning, still life representation of everything that your wedding day meant to you. In being so important, I love to encourage couples to use their wedding photography outside of the normal!  So, I’m going to share with you, my favorite 3 ways to use wedding photography before, during and after the wedding day.

1)      Save the Dates: Although quite popular, creating a Save the Date doesn’t have to be generic! Using portraits from your engagement session, you can create some of the most custom designed Save the Date cards no one has ever seen!  Like the one we created for this special couple, the die cut on the right hand side of the Save the Date card is an actual magnet ready for the fridge!

2)      The Engagement Guestbook:  Your guest book will be seen by (hopefully) every one of your guests. Be proud of your engagement portraits and showcase them in a guestbook designed specifically for your wedding day. Not only will it have space for friends and family to write, but it will be an album you will want to go back and read.

Be original and amaze your guests as soon as they walk in!

3)      Custom Wedding Thank You Cards: Incorporating your wedding photography into your thank you cards can make a simple thank you into a surprising showcase of the artwork that was created on your wedding day. Whether you have 25 thank you cards to write or 250, it is such a nice gesture to give to your guests!

Wedding photography can be one of the most expensive parts of creating your beautiful day. But when the flowers are wilted, the cake eaten and the dress put away, your photography is all you have left to remind you of how perfect you looked, who was there and most importantly, how you felt.  Making it a priority in your wedding planning is a must as your prepare to celebrate the love you share for one another!
